Melba Lahaye

Krotz Springs - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM for Melba Belleau LaHaye on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will take place in the church cemetery. Reverend Michael DeBlanc will Celebrate the Mass. Visitation will be held in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs on Thursday, February 15, 2018 beginning at 9:00 AM until time of services. A Rosary will be prayed at 1:30 PM.

Ms. LaHaye, age 76, a resident of Krotz Springs, LA, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 12, 2018.

Melba was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was "Mom of the Year" for 76 years and a breast cancer survivor for many years. She loved being outdoors fishing, crabbing and gardening. She enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing and most of all, spending time with her family. Melba will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Vincent LaHaye of Krotz Springs, LA; her son, Vincent LaHaye, Jr. and wife, Madori of Port Barre, LA; her daughters, Priscilla Mayeux and husband, Fred of Broussard, LA; Melissa Evans and husband, Clay of Longview, TX; Lessley Lombardo of Friendswood, TX; Erica Brittain and husband, Phillip of League City, TX; her sisters, Beverly Lafleur of Lawtell, LA; Leanna Cheramie of Golden Meadow, LA; Evelyna Dekerlegand of Port Barre, LA and Velma Stelly of Krotz Springs, LA. She is also
survived by fifteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alphan Belleau and Gladys Belleau and her brothers, Bryan Belleau and Albert Belleau.

Pallbearers will be Blake Evans, Brian Evans, Jonathan Muse, Matthew Hicks, Seth Hicks and Dylan Pitre.
