Maybelle Kartchner

Krotz Springs - Funeral Services for Maybelle Buxton Kartchner will be held at 12:30 p.m.on Monday, December 11, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Krotz Springs. Visitation will be held in the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Brother Chad Bolfa will officiate the services. Burial will follow at the First Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Kartchner, age 66 and resident of Krotz Springs, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Baton Rouge General.

Maybelle loved cooking, listening to music, dancing and enjoyed the time she spent with her family. She loved the companionship of her dog, Dolly. Maybelle will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her sons, William Jody Kartchner and wife, Ginger, of Krotz Springs, LA; Billy Dean Kartchner and partner, Alfredo Cruz, of Baton Rouge, LA; her brothers, Buster Buxton and wife, Diane, of
Belle Chasse, LA; Robert Buxton and wife, Cheryl, of Arkansas; her sisters, Ethel Varnado of Krotz Springs, LA; Alice LeJeune of New Road, LA; Pernie Vickers of Zachary, LA and Mattie Stermer of Krotz Springs, LA.

She is also survived by five grandchildren, Logan Kartchner, Madison Kartchner, Abby Kartchner, Landon Kartchner, Carson Kartchner and two great-grandchildren, Avery Kartchner and Aubrey Kartchner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Merlie Buxton and Bessie Ware Buxton and her brothers, Junior and Edmond Buxton and an infant brother, Cless Buxton.

Pallbearers will be William Jody Kartchner, Logan Kartchner, Landon Kartchner, Buster Buxton, David McDavid, Sr., Randy Jarreau and honorary pallbearers will be Carson Kartchner, Abby Kartchner and Madison Kartchner.
