Funeral services for May Ottie Kimble, age 89, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs, followed by interment in the church cemetery. Reverend Rocky Warden, pastor of the Grace Community Lighthouse will conduct the services with the assistance of Reverend Chad Bolfa.
Ms. Kimble was a native of Lexington, Illinois and a former resident of Krotz Spring. She died on December 24, 2011 at the St. Theresa Specialty Hospital in Kenner, LA.
Both a loving mother and grandmother, May was a wonderful examble of what it means to live for Christ. She was an active member of her home church in Krotz Springs and she will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Burke a daughter, Angela Bradford and husband Mike of Metairie, LA four grandchildren, Michael Clay Burke, Christian Bradford, Courtney Bradford Vogel, and John Michael Bradford one great grandchild, Tristan Vogel.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Oscar and Ottie Rosenberger Armentrout brothers, Frank, Oscar, and Eugene Armentrout a sister, Grace Armentrout a son, Gary Allen Burke, and a granddaughter, Wendy Sue Burke.
Visiting hours will be observed in the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs beginning on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 from 5:00 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Wednesday at 8:00 a.m.
