Maureen Mayer Boudreaux

Maureen Mayer Boudreaux, a loving mother and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2023, in Scott, Louisiana. She was born on July 13, 1971, in Opelousas. Maureen was known for her deep love and dedication to her children, who were always her number one priority.

Maureen's warm and compassionate nature touched the lives of all who knew her. She had a zest for life and thoroughly enjoyed anything outdoors. Whether it was a leisurely horse ride or a lively gathering with loved ones, Maureen found joy in every moment. She had an infectious spirit that lit up any room she entered.

Maureen's proudest accomplishment, first and foremost, was her children, followed by her involvement with horses and rodeo competitions. Her passion for riding brought her immense happiness, and she found great fulfillment in competing alongside her loyal steeds.

Surrounded by her loving family, Maureen embraced each day with gratitude and an unwavering sense of love. Her presence will be profoundly missed by her son, Grant Boudreaux; daughters, Toni Torres and Libbi Boudreaux; step-father, Donald Deshotels; and numerous other nieces, nephews and family members.

Maureen is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Jr. and Emma "Jeannie" Mayer; and her aunts, Doris McCardell and Carolyn Bertrand.

A visitation will be held on September 1, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 3:00 PM by Jane Savoy in the funeral home, with a Funeral Service following with Deacon Sammy Diesi officiating. The committal will take place at Bellevue Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Billy Montgomery, Mitchell Wimberley, Danny Guidry, Lonnie Carriere, Cory Fisher and Justin Cormier.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all Maureen's dear friends and family who supported and cared for her. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in her memory.
