Matthew Soileau

A Mass of Christian Burial for Matthew Christian Soileau will be held on Wednesday September 22, 2010 at 11:00am at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville. The interment will take place at the St. Leo the Great cemetery in Leonville. Fr. Ken Domingue will celebrate the mass.

Matthew, age 23, a resident of Port Barre died Friday September 17, 2010 at Lafayette General Medical Center. He loved his family and friends dearly. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was employed withVanoil Completetions Systems in Broussard.

Survivors include his fianc Ashley Guidroz of Port Barre, La, sons Kade and Ethan Soileau both of Port Barre, La, father Ernest Soileau, Jr. and wife Sherry of Walker, La, mother Bridget Morain Tidwell and fianc Johnny Robin of Port Barre, La, maternal grandfather Harris Morain and wife Becky of Lebeau, La, paternal grandfather Ernest Soileau, Sr. and wife Peggy of Winniewood, Ok, paternal grandmother Marie Soileau of Walker, La, Godchild Kenleigh Soileau of Walker, La, brothers Brooks and Nicholas Soileau both of Walker and sisters Chasidy Tidwell of Port Barre, La and Brittani Soileau of Walker, La.

Preceded in death by his maternal grandmother and his maternal step grandfather Judy and Rick Carter.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 21, 2010 at LafondArdoin Funeral Home in Opelousas from 11:00am until 9:00pm and will reopen on Wednesday from 8:00am until time of services. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday evening at 7:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any Mid South Bank in the name of Ernest Soileau for the benefit of Matthew Soileau.
