Mathilda Phillips

June 26, 1921 — August 21, 2012

Bayou Rouge, La. Funeral services will be held for Mathilda Dupuis Phillips, age 91, at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 24, 2012, at the First Pentecostal Church of Bayou Rouge. Burial will follow in the First Pentecostal Church of Bayou Rouge Cemetery with Reverend Leon Fontenot, Reverend Dallas Shuff and Reverend Mark Boudreaux.

Mathilda, a resident of Bayou Rouge, La., died on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at 6:24 p.m. at her residence.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her sons, George Ray Phillips and wife, Eleanor, of Bayou Rouge, La. Louvie L.J. Phillips and wife, Debbie, of Bayou Rouge, La. and her daughter, Lillian Doris Boudreaux and husband, Ursin, of Denton, Texas. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Mark Boudreaux, Phillip Boudreaux, Reba Deshotel, Dan Phillips, Tonya Pitcher, Levi Phillips and 12 greatgrandchildren, Marcus Boudreaux, Lucus Boudreaux, Logan Boudreaux, Eeon Boudreaux, Talan Boudreaux, Lillian Boudreaux, Alex Deshotel, Emily Deshotel, Austin Pitcher, Spencer Pitcher, Lily Jo Pitcher and Kayla Phillips.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Red Phillips her parents, Noe and Lucie Perron Dupuis and 16 siblings.

Visiting hours will be observed in the First Pentecostal Church of Bayou Rouge 1818 La. 360, Palmetto, La. 71358 on Thursday, August 23, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Friday until time of service.
