Mason Collins

Opelousas - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mason Tobias Collins at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 4, 2015, in the St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas. Reverend James Brady will celebrate the Mass. Rite of committal will be held at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mason was born on August 10, 2015 and passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on December 1, 2015 in Lafayette, LA.

Mason is survived by his parents, Scott and Nicole Olivier Collins, of Opelousas, LA; his brothers, Michael Collins, Matthew Collins, Max Collins, Mark Collins, Myles Collins; his sisters, Malorie Collins, Morgan Rodriguez and her husband, David, Madison Collins, Mary Collins, Monica Collins and Mia Collins. Mason is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Wanda Olivier; his paternal grandmother, Ruth Collins (Rick Gandy); his paternal grandfather, Richard Collins and his wife, Mickie; his uncles Mitch Olivier and wife, Kim; Chad Collins and wife, Vickie; his aunt, Angie Picou; his nephews, Kadyn Ducote and Koltyn Ducote and a host of cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Frank Olivier.

Visitation will be held at the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Thursday, December 3, 2015, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Friday, December 4, 2015, at 8:00 a.m. until time of service. A rosary will be prayed on Thursday, December 3, 2015, at 6:30 p.m. by Deacon Dwayne Joubert.
