Opelousas - Funeral services will be held for Mary Katherine Stelly, age 77, at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2016, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, LA with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Brother Sam Hamm, from the Pentecostal Church of Melville, will conduct the funeral service. Burial will take place at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Stelly, a lifelong resident of Melville, LA, died on Tuesday, February 22, 2016, at Opelousas General Health System.

Mary Katherine loved working on word puzzles, playing bingo and gardening with her husband. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Elgee Stelly, Sr., of Melville, LA; her sons, Elgee Stelly, Jr. of Melville, LA; Warren Stelly and wife, Stacy, of Livonia, LA; Mark Stelly of Melville, LA; Barry Stelly of Melville, LA; her daughter, Sheila Stelly Bowser and husband, Bob, of Opelousas, LA and her sister, Georgia Deville, of Monroe, LA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer Rizzuto, Marisa Dubroc, David Bowser, Jenna Stelly; her great-grandchildren, Anthony Rizzuto and Nicholas Rizzuto.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Katherine Schulze.

Pallbearers will be Tracy Duplichain, Charles Richard, Brian Cannatella, Brent Stelly, Brett Dubroc and Felton Stelly, Jr.
