Mary Soileau

Washington A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mary Ruth Soileau, age 67, at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington, LA, followed by a Memorial Reception at the church hall. Rite of Committal will be held at a later date in the Cedar Hill Cemetery. The Reverend Albert Nunez will be the celebrant.

Ruth Soileau, who was a native of Grand Prairie, LA and resident of Washington, LA, died at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center on Monday 27, 2013.

Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, going to garage sales and playing a competitive game of yahtzee or cards with her close friends. According to everyone who knew her, Ruth had the biggest heart of anyone they knew. She had a Godgiven gift for loving others and giving of herself.

She is survived by her daughters, Angela Fontenot and husband Pat of Grand Prairie and Holly Taylor and husband Josh of Washington brothers, Kirt Soileau and wife Jeanne of Washington and Louis Soileau of Carencro sister, Lou Santillo of Arnaudville 7 grandchildren, Cade Fontenot, Ranae Fontenot, Ben Fontenot, Camille Fontenot, Alexis Taylor, Braylen Daigle, and Madison Rung 2 great grandchildren, Kagen Fontenot and Emma Fontenot.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Leola Stears Soileau.
