Mary Pollingue

March 9, 1924 — April 30, 2011

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Karl Pollingue the former Mary Billie Gabriella Logan will be held on Tuesday May 3, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Reverend Monsignor Keith DeRouen will celebrate the mass. The interment will take place at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.

Mrs. Pollingue, age 87, a resident of Opelousas died Saturday April 30, 2011. She was a graduate of Academy of the Sacred Heart, a member of the Sacred Heart Alumni Association, a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church and a faithful Adorer of the Adoration Chapel at Our Lady Queen of Angels Church.

Survivors include her sons Karl L. Pollingue, Jr. and William Logan Pollingue and wife Charmaine both of Opelousas, daughter Patricia Pollingue Sherlock and husband Craig of Beaumont, TX, brothers William E. Logan, Jr. of Lafayette and Floyd Logan and wife Berinda of Pass Christian, MS, sisters Ann Logan Mills and husband Gordan of Lafayette, LA, Mildred Logan Burrus and Margaret Logan Hardie both of New Orleans, LA and also 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

The family has requested visiting hours be observed on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and will reopen on Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. A rosary will be recited on Monday afternoon at 3:15 p.m.
