Mary Peck

Opelousas A Memorial Service and Rosary will be held for Mary Lee Fontenot Peck, age 87, on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, La. Deacon Sammy Diesi will conduct the service and rosary.

Mrs. Peck, a resident of Opelousas, La., died on Monday, October 1, 2012, at Opelousas General Health System.

Mary Lee enjoyed life and loved to laugh. She will be remembered for her caring nature and willingness to help others in need. Her love for her family and friends knew no bounds, as did her love for her two dogs, Tootie and Jacque. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband, Sidney J. Martin of Lafayette, La. her son, Garland Peck, Jr. of Lake Charles, La. her sister, Joy Sink, of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and her special daughterinlaw, Barbara Ellen BB Peck of Lake Charles, La. and her special godchild, Vickie Smith of Opelousas, La. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Jason Hampton Peck of Sulphur, La. Andre Doucet of Mandeville, La. and her greatgrandson, Brennan Peck, of Sulphur, La.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Garland Peck, Sr. her parents, Hampton and Corinne Davy Fontenot her brothers, Ernest St. Amand, E.J. St. Amand, David Fontenot and her sister, Thelma Culbertson.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, La., on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, beginning on 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Mary Lees name to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
