Mary Leger

Mary Smith Leger, age 76, a resident of Opelousas, La. passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at her residence.

Mary is survived by her husband, Chester Leger, Sr.; her children, Rufus Ferguson, Isaac Steven Gary, Ivy James Gary, Veronica Johnson, Nola Mata and fiancé, Clifton, Isaac Gary, III, John Paul Leger and fiancé, Katrina and James Michael Leger. She is also survived by her brother, Amos Abshire; her sisters, Margie Larmand, Lois Fontenot, Yvonne Welch; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Smith and Nola Richard Abshire; her daughters, Jo Ann Quebedeaux and Mary Theresa Woodard; her brothers, Bobby Smith and Ray Abshire and her sisters, Nola Ann Broussard and Theresa Wheaton.
