Mary Lalonde Credeur

Mary Lalonde Credeur, age 68, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024, at her residence in Opelousas. She was a remarkable soul who touched the lives of many.

Mary was known for her unwavering dedication to her roles as a mother, grandmother and wife. Her love for her family knew no bounds, and she found joy in creating a nurturing home filled with love and laughter. She could often be found immersed in the pages of a good book.
  
Mary took pleasure in collecting rocks and had a fondness for wildflowers, particularly magnolias. Watching sports brought her immense joy, with a special place in her heart reserved for cheering on the New Orleans Saints.
 
Mary is survived by her beloved husband, Michael Trent Credeur, her children: Jason Lanclos (wife, Mitzi), Joshua Lanclos (wife Leeann), and Ashley Stermer (husband, Mitchell). Mary's memory will also be cherished by her siblings: Kenneth Lalonde (wife Linda), Charles Lalonde (wife Deionne), Karen Luckett (husband Richard), Janet Burleson (husband Roger), Laurie Williams (husband Kevin), Leah Kyle (husband Jamey) and Missy Chachere (husband Steven).  She is also survived by her daughters-in-law, Tiffany Lavergne (husband Scott) and Courtney Lemoine (husband Jed), sister-in-law, Nedia Savoy and husband, Charles, brother-in-law, James Ballard (wife Sadie) and her mother-in-law, (Lillian Credeur). She is also survived by her lifelong best friend, Julie Talley and her 12 grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonce (Whitey) Lalonde Jr. and Constance (Connie) Ruffino, as well as father-in-law Ballard Credeur.

Mary's legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on through all those who had the privilege of knowing her. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
