Mary Soileau

Funeral services for Mary Linda Krantz Soileau, 84, were held at 11:00am on September 1, 2007 at the St. Anthony of Padua Church in Krotz Springs.

The interment followed in the Sacred Heart Catholic cemetery in Port Barre

Father Mark Ledoux conducted the services.

Mrs. Soileau a resident of Krotz Springs died Aug. 30, 2007 at 3:15 pm in the Opelousas General Health Systems in Opelousas.

She was a retired cafeteria worker and loved to work in her yard and be with her family.

Survivors include her daughter Verna R. Duplechain and husband Bill of Port Barre, La one son Webster Reed, Sr. and wife Ruth of Krotz Springs, La, one daughter- in- law Sandra Reed of Stephenville, Tx, six grandchildren Traci Haggard and husband Toby of

Stephenville, Tx, Brad Duplechain of New Orleans, La, Webster Reed Jr. and Bryan Reed of Krotz Springs, La, Andre Polaniecki and husband Andrew of New Orleans, La, Mary Helen Fontenot and Husband Charlie of Port Barre, La, and Desi Reed wife of the late Jonathan Ray Reed, also five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Martin J. Krantz and Azema Lacassin Krantz, her husband Ray Soileau, Son Cherry M. Reed. Two grandsons Jason Bryant Duplechain and Jonathan Ray Reed.

Visitation was held on Friday, August 31, 2007 from 2:00 pm until 10:00pm with a rosary at 7:00pm at the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Krotz Springs, and continued on Saturday, September 1, 2007 from 8:00 am until time of services.
