Krotz Springs - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mary Louise Morain Guidry, age 86, on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anthony Catholic Church in Krotz Springs with Reverend Fr. Michael DeBlanc as the celebrant. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the St. Anthony Cemetery in Krotz Springs. The Readings for the Mass will be done by Pat Morain and the gifts will be presented to the altar by Marty Hoyt and Rhonda Hoyt. The Music selections will be provided by Sharee Hunter.

Ms. Mary was a native of Lebeau and a longtime resident of Krotz Springs. She died on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family. She was a cook in the Krotz Springs Elementary Cafeteria for many years. She enjoyed being outdoors picking pecans and working in her garden and flower beds. She was a devout Catholic and was strong in her faith. She was a Eucharistic Minister for the sick and shut-ins and led the Rosary before the Mass at church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include two sons, John Dean Guidry and wife, Kim of Denham Springs; and Kerry Mark Guidry and wife, Susan of Krotz Springs; one daughter, Annette Luneau of Krotz Springs; two sisters, Eva Hebert of Pride; and Zoula Fruge of Baton Rouge; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Guidry; son, Ronald J. Guidry; parents, Nico Morain and Linda Lanclos Morain; two brothers, Dennis Morain and Jesse Morain; five sisters, Ida "Da" Guillory, Gladys Samson, Wilda Chiasson, Ada "Day" Marcantel, and Mabel Angelle; one grandchild, Joey Guidry; and two great-grandchildren, Colby Guidry and Corbin Guidry.

Visiting hours will be observed at the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs on Friday, February 2, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. On Saturday, the funeral home will reopen at 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
A Rosary Service will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Friday in the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Derek Guidry, Hunter Guidry, Tim Guidry, Emily Guidry, Eric Luneau, and Adam Luneau. Honorary pallbearers will be Marty Hoyt, Matthew Guidry, Koby Guidry, and Korbin Guidry.
