Mary Dupont

Krotz Springs- A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Benoit Dupont will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Krotz Springs, LA. The Reverend James Nguyen will celebrate the Mass. Rite of committal will follow in the St. Anthony Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Dupont, age 82, who was a native of Cankton, LA and a resident of Krotz Springs, LA, died on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at her residence.

Mary was full of life. She loved sewing, cooking for her family, caring for her flower garden, dancing and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her sons, Joseph Dupont and wife Angelina, Larry Dupont and wife Linda, Jerry Dupont and Wilbert Dupont, Jr. and wife Cheryl; daughters, Merrie Jagneaux and husband Horace, Shirley Ray and husband Richard, Melissa Johnson and husband Russell, Patsy Beard and husband Jonathan, and Beulah "Renee" Pitre and husband Scott; sister, Anna Jean Darby; 20 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and a host of step grand and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Dupont, Sr; parents, Uyless and Nita Menard Benoit; brothers, Augustine, Hubert and Felix Benoit; grandchild, Robin Dupont and great grandchildren, Tyler Lalonde and James Ricky Guillory.

Pallbearers will be Richard Ray, Jr, Phillip Guidroz, Larry Dupont, Jr, Joseph Johnfroe, Colby Quebedeaux, Corey Quebedeaux, Tyler Pitre and Danny Ortego.

Visitation will be held at the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs beginning on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday. A Rosary will be held on Tuesday evening.
