Mary Duplechain

Krotz Springs- Funeral services for Mary Quebedeaux Duplechain, age 80, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 in the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel of Krotz Springs, followed by interment in the First Baptist Church Cemetery of Krotz Springs. The Reverend Mark LeDoux, pastor of St. Anthony Catholic Church, will conduct the services.

Ms. Duplechain who was a resident of Krotz Springs, died on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 12:10 p.m. at the St. Landry Extended Care in Opelousas.

She adored sewing and making beautiful purses and her love of sewing was passed down to her daughters Carol and Barbara.

Survivors include four sons, Billy Duplechain and wife Jackie of Baton Rouge, James Duplechain and wife Katie of New Roads, Donald Duplechain and wife Nellie of Lottie, and Wayne Duplechain and wife Karen of Krotz Springs; two daughters, Carol Wiltz and husband Vince of Krotz Springs and Barbara Huff and husband Harold of Beaumont, TX; a brother, Leo Quebedeaux, Jr. and wife Drew of Eunice; a sister, Betty Newton and husband Laurence of Watson, LA. She also had 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo Quebedeaux, Sr. and Anna Noel Quebedeaux and two brothers Andrew and Olan Quebedeaux, Sr.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, November 9, 2009 from 10:00 a.m.- 10:00 p.m. and will re-open at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday. A rosary service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
