Opelousas - Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2017 for Mary Lou Meyers Deville in the Skip Montet Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. Reverend Father Austin Leger will officiate the service. Rite of Committal and interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park.

Mary Lou Meyers Deville, age 80 and a resident of Opelousas, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 27, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Deville enjoyed spending her time in her garden and crocheting blankets and sewing for her family. Her family meant everything to her and loved cooking her Sunday dinners and spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Deville will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Donald Ray Deville of Opelousas; daughters, Catherine LeBlanc and her husband, Mark of Opelousas, Mona Vandervoort of Denver, CO and Patricia Richard and her husband, John of Clarksville, TN; brother, Antoine Meyers, Jr. of Arnaudville; sisters, Eugenie "Jean" M. Noel of Opelousas and Emeline "Sis" M. Artigue of Ardnaudville; grandchildren, John Deville, Jeremy Deville and his wife, Rachel, Joshua Richard, Daniel Richard, Tiffany Deville, Lacey Richard, Matthew Vandervoort, Casey Vandervoort, Katlyn LeBlanc, Nicholas Vandervoort and Trevor Vandervoort; and great-grandchildren, Kameron Deville, Chloe Deville, Gabriel Richard, Brooklyn Richard, Aubree Vandervoort, Autumn Richard, Cayden Vandervoort and Paxtyn Jonseof.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Junior Deville; son, Larry Deville; son-in-law, Alan Vandervoort; brothers, Howard Meyers and Kermit Meyers; and sisters, Bernice Darbonne and Gertie Meyers Artigue.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. in the Skip Montet Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. It will continue on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening by Deacon Sammy Diesi.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Deville, Matthew Vandervoort, Joshua Richard, Daniel Richard, John Deville and John Richard.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Tiffany Deville.
