Mary Boone

Prairie Ronde- Funeral service for Miss Mary Lou Boone, age 71, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2009 in the Prairie Ronde Baptist Church, followed by interment in the church cemetery. Pastor David Fultz will conduct the services.

Ms. Boone, a native of Prairie Ronde and former resident of Marietta, Georgia, died at 2:23 a.m. on Thursday, June 04, 2009 at the Opelousas General Health System.

Survivors include her sisters, Ella Bertrand, Victoria Pitre, Eva Mae Boone and Velma Boone all of Lawtell and Virginia Bertrand of Opelousas; a brother, Adrian Boone of Eunice and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Boone, Sr. and Amy LeJeune Boone; three brother, L.G., Henry and James Boone; three sisters, Ruby Granger, Yola Roy, and Wilma Soileau.

Visiting will begin in the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Thursday, June 04, 2009 from 4:00 10:00 p.m. and will re-open at 8:30 a.m. on Friday until service time.

LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
