It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mr. Marvin “Pop” Buller, age 80, on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at the Tri-Community Nursing Center in Palmetto, La.
Washington - Funeral services for Marvin “Pop” Buller will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022, in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington, La. Deacon Dwayne Joubert will conduct the service. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Deacon Dwayne Joubert will recite the Rosary at 10:00 a.m.
Pallbearers will be Matt Buller, Hunter Buller, Johnny Stevens, Tony Soileau, Phil LeBlanc and Will Buller.
Pop worked in the propane gas business for over 35 years. He was a man who loved people and had the kindest and most generous spirit. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and did great carpentry work. He loved cooking and made the best seafood gumbo. Pop was the best joke teller, and he never met a stranger. But most important, he loved his family, especially his wife, Delores, his three sons, his grandchildren and all his sisters. Pop will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by sons, Scott Buller and wife, Jeanne, Brad Buller and wife, Monique and Tracy “Shimp” Buller all of Garland; and his sisters, Agnes LeBlanc of Garland, Sara Soileau and husband, Raynold, of Washington, Gayle Boudreaux and husband, Ike, of Lebeau, Alida Lugo of Metairie and Evelina Soileau and husband, Charles, of Garland. He also survived by his grandchildren, Matt Buller, Meghann Buller Lavergne, Hunter Buller, Camille Buller, Olivia Buller, Camryn Buller, and Halle Lavergne.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Ann Stevens Buller, his brother, Paul Buller and his parents, George William, and Rita Mire Buller.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care and Tri-Community Nursing Center for the care and compassion that was given to Pop.
