Mark Capone, Jr.

Opelousas - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mark Allen Capone, Jr. at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2016, in the St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA. Reverend James Brady will conduct the Mass. Rite of Committal will take place at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mark, age 35, a resident of Scott, LA, died on Thursday, December 1, 2016, at his mother's residence.

Mark was a 2000 graduate of Opelousas Catholic High School. He loved his nieces and his family very much. He was funny, witty and had a big heart. He enjoyed computer gaming, LSU sports, New Orleans Saints football and Indy car racing. He also was a fan of music and especially loved listening to classic rock. Mark will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his mother, Lynn Faul Burkhalter; his father and step-mother, Mark A. Capone, Sr. and Alison Capone; his sisters, Kaili Capone Broussard and husband, Ross; Olivia Capone, Linsey Capone; his nieces, Madelyn Broussard and Lily Broussard; his maternal grandfather, Lee R. Faul and his paternal grandparents, John W. Capone, Sr. and Geraldine Capone.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Beverly Faul and his Aunt Janell Capone.

Visitation will be held in the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Saturday, December 3, 2016, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
