Mariette "Marie" "Sister" Cagle

Krotz Springs - Private Services will be held for Ms. Mariette "Marie" "Sister" Cagle in the First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs. Brother Allen Myers will conduct the service. Burial will follow in the First Baptist Church Cemetery in Krotz Springs.

Ms. Cagle, age 79, a resident of Krotz Springs passed away peacefully on Thursday July 9, 2020

Marie loved being outdoors and was an avid gardener who took pride in her garden and flowers. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Marie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Ricky Willis and wife, Mary of Opelousas, LA, John Russell Cagle "Buck" and wife, Tammy of Cement, OK, and her daughter, Cheryl Stermer, "Cricket" and companion, Mike Stoute of Krotz Springs, LA, her sisters, Troy Slocum, Ruby Hutchins, Corrine Floyd, Cheryl Ann Duplechin, Audry Doucet, Kathy Matinez, and June Pace. She is also survived by six grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar "Ed" Cagle; her parents, Frank Louis Stermer and Rosalee Corley Stermer; her three brothers, Frank "Bo" Louis Stermer, Jr., Paul Wilson Stermer, Mickey Ray Stermer and her sister, Betty Hawkins.
