Margo Lalonde

Funeral Services for Margo Valin Lalonde, age 67 will be held on Monday, June 29, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel. The interment will take place at St. Landry Catholic Cemetery. Rev. Angelo Cremaldi will conduct the services.

Mrs. Lalonde, a recent resident of Port Barre, but a lifelong resident of Opelousas, went to meet our Lord on Friday, June 26, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the University Medical Center in Lafayette.

Margo loved life, being outdoors and visiting with friends and family. Everyone she met or knew loved her wit and outgoing personality. She will be missed by her family and friends and all who loved her.

Margo is survived by her brothers, Gene Valin and his wife, Yvonne, of Port Barre and Carroll Valin and his wife, Betty, of Arnaudville. She is also survived by three nieces, two nephews and a host of extended family and friends.

Margo was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Lalonde, her parents, Louis and Della Valin and her sister, Mimi Jenson.

Pallbearers and Honorary pallbearers will be Lance Valin, Jordan Comeaux, Brandon Deville, Matthew Aymond, Brandon LeJeune, T-Boy Pitre, Wendell Bordelon and Michael Robin. Visiting hours will be observed in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Monday, June 29, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. A rosary will be held at 10:00 a.m on Monday morning.
