MARGARET MAGGIE DAMORES McBride

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Maggie DAmores McBride will be held on Sunday, August 6th, 2006 at Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home in the Chapel at 2:00PM with interment at the Nathan McBride Family Cemetery in Church Point. Rev. Jeff DeBlanc will conduct the services.

Mrs. McBride, 78, a resident of Opelousas, died Friday, August 4th, 2006 at Opelousas General Health System. She worked at Abdallas clothing store for a number of years and was also employed at Opelousas General Hospital for a number of years, was also a greeter at Walmart in Opelousas where she met many people, different walks of life.

She is survived by her sons; James and his wife Sandra McBride of Houston, Michael McBride of Opelousas and Mark and his wife Ave McBride of Lafayette, daughters; Linda and her husband Don Kannady of Bunkie, La, and Gina and her husband David Sledge of Baton Rouge La., a sister; Rosie Guidry of Church Point. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her pet cat Keno.

The Pallbearers will be; Kevin Kannady, Chad Kannady, Christopher Kannady, Scott McBride, Sean McBride, Michael McBride Jr, Kyle and Bryan McBride and Ethan Sledge. The readings will be read by Lisa Neuman McBride and Christian Stelly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Ernest and Janet Sisley DAmores, one sister, Theresa Graffagnino, a brother Louis DAmores and 1 granddaughter, Angela Kay McBride.

Visitation was observed on Saturday, from 4:00PM to 9:00PM and will continue on Sunday from 11:00AM till time of service. A rosary was recited on Saturday at 7:30PM.
