Marcylee Thibodeaux

Opelousas- Funeral services for Marcylee Richard Thibodeaux, age 82 , will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. in the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park. The Reverend Paul Bienvenu will officiate the Mass of Christian Burial.

Mrs. Thibodeaux, a native of Bristol and resident of Opelosuas, died at 4:40 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Prompt Succor Nursing Home.

Mrs. Thibodeaux was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church since 1948.

There she was a Division leader of the Adoration Chapel, the food committee, and the 9:00 a.m. Mass Choir. She was also a member of the West End Rosary Group and Woodmen of the World.

Musical selections will be: Just a closer walk with thee, The old rugged cross, Amazing Grace, and How great thou art.

She is survived by her two sons Kenneth A. Thibodeaux and wife Barbara and Glenn D. Thibodeaux and wife Mary all of Opelousas; a daughter Cindy T. Noel and husband Gerald of Opelousas; a sister Eva Lalonde; 5 grandchildren, Lydia T. Aymond, Kevin and Chad Thibodeaux, Derek Noel, and Chassidy Ford; 9 great grandchildren, Lindsey, Tyler, and Wesley Thibodeaux, Alyssa, Cary, and Emily Aymond, Graci Noel, Lexie and Micah Thibodeaux.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Antoine Thibodeaux; parents, Mentor and Adolphine Leger Richard; a brother, Isodore Richard; two sisters, Ezola Soileau and Damadel Lacomb and a grandchild, Gregory Andew Thibodeaux.

Pallbearers will be Chad and Kevin Thibodeaux, Derek Noel, Scott Aymond, David and Mike Soileau.

Honorary pallbearer will be Kyle Ford

Visiting hours will be observed in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home on Monday, March 17, 2008 from 2:00-10:00 p.m. and will re-open on Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. until service time. A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
