MAMIE L. RICHARD

Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie L. Richard, will be held Tuesday, February 27, at 10:30AM at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Opelousas, with the interment at Bellevue Memorial Park. The Rev. Jeff DeBlanc will conduct the services.

Mrs. Richard, age 91, a native and resident of Opelousas, died Sunday, February 25, 2007 at Baton Rouge General Hospital-Mid City.

After retirement from St. Landry Clinic Hospital, she relocated to Baton Rouge La in 1980. For the last 4 years she was a resident of Flannary Oak Guest Home.

She is survived by her 2 sons and daughter-in-laws; Tyrone Richard Sr. and his wife Sylvia of Baton Rouge and Bruce E. Richard and his wife Ellen of Lafayette. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; Brian K. Richard, Tyrone J. Richard Jr., Robert B. Richard, Jamie R. Crawford and Kim R. Trahan, 7 Great-grandchildren and 1 Great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

She was a very loving and giving person and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Luke and Laura LaVergne, sisters; Mrs. Eula Daigle and Mabel Collins, a brother; Russell LaVergne and 1 grandson; Daniel Glen Richard.

The Pallbearers will be; Tyrone J. Richard Jr., Mitch Richard, Robert B. Richard, Robert J. Richard, Jacob Richard and Timmy Collins.

The family has requested that visitation be observed at Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas on Monday from 4:00PM to 9:00PM and will continue on Tuesday from 8:00AM till time of services A Rosary will be recited at 7:00PM Monday.
