Mae Aymond

Funeral services for Mrs. Mae McManus Aymond will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2007, at 12:00 noon, at Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas with interment at Bellevue Memorial Park. Rev. Henry Blount and Rev. Chris Andrews will conduct the services. Mrs. Aymond, age 88, died on January 15th in Orange, TX. She was a very active member of the La. Memorial United Methodist Church when she lived in Opelousas so much so that she was honored with MAE AYMOND DAY, was a recipient of a distinguished service award and led the youth group for over 2 decades.

She is survived by a son; Will Aymond and his wife Rochelle Leary of Kerrville, TX,

three daughters; Cora Aymond Landry and her husband Mike of Lafayette LA, Susan Aymond Griffin and her husband Ted J. Griffin, Jr. of Spring, TX. and Donna Aymond Dohmann and her fianc Michael Whitlow of Orange, TX.; 11 grandchildren; Laura Aymond, Monique Aymond, Anne Marie Silburn, Joycelyn Aymond, Jennifer and her husband Paul Tassin, Will Aymond Jr, Scott Landry, Courtney Landry, Heather and her husband Daniel Burch, Kerri Griffin and Paige Dohmann; 5 great-grandchildren; Cody Wyatt Strickland, Payton Silburn, Evan and Alex Tassin and Chase Landry.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Raymond and Coralie Mougeot McManus, her husband; Walter Aymond and brothers Shelton McManus, Hubert and his wife Lorita McManus and Claiborne and his wife Myrtle McManus and a sister Jewel and her husband Tyler Lamson

The family has requested that visitation be observed on Wednesday, January 17, 2007, from 5:00PM to 9:00PM and will continue on Thursday from 8:00AM until the time of service.
