Opelousas- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mr. Lynn Ralph Marks, age 55, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 7, 2016, at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA. Rev. Msgr. Keith J. DeRouen will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will be in Bellevue Memorial Park.

Mr. Marks, a longtime resident of Opelousas died on Friday, November 4, 2016, at his home. He enjoyed being with his family, spending time outdoors, camping, fishing, and riding the UTV. He would create beautiful woodcrafts. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his father, Junius Ralph Marks of Opelousas; four brothers, Calvin Marks and wife, Velma; Dale Marks and wife, Pam; Timothy Marks and wife, Angela; and Paul Marks and wife, Nancy; sister, Monette Gerace and husband, Blake; godchild, Mia M. Jesclard; 12 nieces and nephews, and 15 great-nieces and great-nephews. He will be missed by his beloved pet dog, Bob.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Stelly Marks; his stepmother, Gladys Marks; and his grandparents, Zachary and Felicia Douet Marks; Octave Stelly, and Arymade Guidroz Lalonde.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Gerace, Spencer Marks, CJ Marks, Brandon Marks, Matthew Marks, and Laine Marks. Honorary pallbearers will be Calvin Marks, Timothy Marks, Blake Gerace, Paul Marks, and Dale Marks.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2016, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday evening in the funeral home. On Monday, visitation will continue from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
