Lycia Perrodin

August 15, 1972 — July 9, 2022

Lycia Paige Perrodin, age 49, of Thibodaux, Louisiana passed away surrounded by her family at AMG Specialty Hospital on Saturday, July 9, 2022. She was born in San Francisco, California on August 15, 1972, and raised in Opelousas, Louisiana.

There are no adequate words for describing the wonderful woman that she was. Lycia was a doting mother, a grandmother, a sister, aunt, daughter, and friend. She never knew a stranger and would always make you feel welcomed. She touched everybody’s lives and made it a point to make all those she encountered feel so important and special. Anyone that truly knew her, knew she had such a big heart. She could always make you laugh and will be remembered by her gentle reminder to be Good, Gracious, and Kind. She loved fiercely and deeply, and we take comfort in knowing that Lycia is now at peace surrounded by light.

“You never said I’m leaving, you never said goodbye. You were gone before we knew it, and only God knew why. A million times we needed you, a million times we cried. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place that no one could ever fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God took you home.” Author Unknown.

She is survived by her mother, Connie Dorsey; her daughters, Jade and Paris Grace Perrodin and their father Jamie Perrodin; her brother Brandt Soileau and his wife Paige; her sister Lindy Blakewood and her husband Scott; nephews Tanner and Talan Soileau and Jack Blakewood; her nieces Ella Blakewood and Tatum Soileau; her grandson Beckham Darbonne and her blessing on the way granddaughter Parker Paige Darbonne, and their father Damian Darbonne.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother Louella Dorsey and her beloved aunt Lou Dawn Dorsey.
