Krotz Springs A memorial service will be held for Rita Martin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2014, in the First Baptist Church in Krotz Springs. Reverend Chad Bolfa will conduct the service. Burial will be held in the First Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ms. Martin, age 61, a resident of Krotz Springs, La., died on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at Opelousas General Health System.

Rita was a member of the First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

Survivors are her daughter, LaVerne Crozier and husband, Keith, of Port Barre, La. her brothers, Dwight Dautreuil of St. Martinville, La. Robert Dautreuil of Port Barre, La. and her sister, Vickie Dautreuil Walker of Lafayette, La. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Michael Crozier, David Crozier, Matthew Crozier, Andrew Crochet and Quincy Dugas and 3 greatgrandchildren, Bradyen Dugas, Sophia Crozier and Caleb Soileau.

She was preceded in death by her partents, Roy and Electa Melancon Dautreuil her son, Walter Dugas, her brother, Elden Dautreuil and her sisters, Dixie Mae Doucet, Dianna Mae Romero and Linda Fae Dugas.

Visitation will be held in the First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs 740 Front Street, Krotz Springs, La. 70750 on Friday, February 21, 2014, from 3:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m.
