Lula Lejeune

Opelousas Funeral services for Lula Mae LeJeune, age 64, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 1, 2010, in the LaFond Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, followed by interment in the LeJeune Family Cemetery in Mallet, LA. The Reverend Ray Angus will conduct the service.

Ms. LeJeune was a native and resident of Lawtell. She died on Friday, July 30, 2010 at 2:11 p.m. after an extended illness.

She was a beloved mother to her daughter Victoria and she was devoted to all of her family. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her daughter, Victoria Mareno of Lawtell brother, Percy LeJeune of Lawtell sisters, Viola Pickett and husband George, Ella Mae Doiga and husband Ray, all of Lawtell also a host of nieces and nephews who she dearly loved.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lucius and Emma Boone LeJeune brothers, Louis, James, Jeffery, and Kersey LeJeune and a sister, Rena Stelly.

Visiting will begin on Sunday, August 1, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until service time in the LaFond Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas.
