Lula Guedry

Opelousas A rosary service will be held at 2:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service for Lula Bea V. Guedry, age 97, on Saturday, January 23, 2010 in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Chapel followed by interment in Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas, La. Deacon Sammy Diesi will conduct the services.

Mrs. Guedry, who was a resident of Opelousas, died on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the Oschner Medical Center of Baton Rouge at 5:40 p.m.

Lula loved reading and playing Solitaire. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Society. Lula will be missed dearly by all who loved her.

She is survived by her son, John F. Guedry and wife, Elizabeth Liz, of Baton Rouge, La. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Libby Gonzales and husband, Hale, of Baton Rouge, La. Penny Reid of Baton Rouge, La. and 4 greatgrandchildren, Grant Gonzales, Morgan Gonzales, Kayla Reid and Maggie Reid all of Baton Rouge.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Joseph Guedry her parents, Onezine Avia Veillon 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Saturday, January 23, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
