Louise Woods

Opelousas Funeral services for Louise Isabelle Dejean Woods will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2012, in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Upper Waxia Cemetery in Waxia, LA with Father Pete Smith.

Mrs. Woods, age 90, a resident of Waxia, LA died on Sunday, November 18, 2012, at the TriCommunity Nursing Home in Palmetto, LA with her family at her side.

Louise will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her sons, Harold A. Woods, Jr. of Waxia, LA Dr. Marion Lester Woods, II of Brisbane, Australia her daughter, Ouida Louise Woods, of Waxia, LA and three grandchildren, Claire Woods Molinari, Hannah V. Woods and Caroline Woods.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold A. Woods, Sr. her parents, Felix and Isabelle Bacon DeJean her brother, Felix A. DeJean and her sisters, Vivian DeJean Wartelle and Ophelia DeJean Brown.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas beginning on Friday, November 23, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and will reopen on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. until time of service. A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
