Louise Guidroz

Opelousas - Funeral services will be held for Louise Domec Guidroz, age 81, at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2015, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas, LA. Deacon Sammy Diesi will officiate the funeral service.

Mrs. Guidroz, a resident of Mamou, LA and former resident of Port Barre, LA, died on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at the Prairie Manor Nursing Home in Pine Prairie, LA.

Louise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Nolan Guidroz, Rose Marie Guidroz, Mary Joyce Bailey, Debra Guidroz Wiltz, Dalton Guidroz, Jr., Susan Guidroz Welch, Peggy G. Kelly, Betty G. Welch; Paul Wayne Guidroz; her brother, Harry Lee Domec and her sister, Laura Breaux. She is also survived by 37 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dalton Guidroz, Sr.; her parents, Felix and Blanche Thomasee Domec and her children, Nola G. Miller, Robert Dale Guidroz, Sr., Bertha Mae Guidroz and several sisters and brothers.

Visitation will be held at the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on Friday at 8:00 a.m. until time of service. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
