Louise Dupont

Opelousas A funeral service will be held for Louise B. Dupont at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 3, 2014, in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Perry Hubbs will conduct the funeral service. Burial will be held at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Dupont, age 87, died on Friday, October 31, 2014, at Cornerstone Village South Nursing Home in Lafayette, LA.

Louise was a nurse for many years at the St. Landry Clinic and the Opelousas Developmental Center. She was a member of the Opelousas Civic League and worked on the Yambilee Committee. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Toni Dupont Lavergne and husband, Dan Lavergne, of Lafayette, LA her sons, Creighton Dupont and wife, Yvonne Caviness Dupont, of Baton Rouge, LA Mark Dupont and wife, Susan Briggs Dupont, of Aiken, South Carolina and her sisters, Wilma Barbre Neveu of Lafayette, LA Angie Barbre Primeaux and husband, Bennie W. Primeaux, of Zwolle, LA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Ernest Dupont her parents, John and Sylvia Campbell Barbre and her sister, Sylvia Jane Barbre Chachere.

Visitation will be held at the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Monday, November 3, 2014, from 8:30 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m.
