Louis Labruyere, Iii

June 10, 1945 — April 3, 2015

A Mass of Christian Burial for Louis Raymond LaBruyere, III, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2015 at the St. Landry Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Charles Catholic Church cemetery in Grand Coteau, LA. The Reverend James Brady will celebrate the Mass and the Very Reverend Monsignor Keith DeRouen will concelebrate.
Readers will be Celeste LaBruyere and Philip Patrick LeBlanc; gift bearers will be Noah Patrick LaBruyere, Rylee Claire LaBruyere and Sarah Michele Moore and the eulogy by Carl Joseph Servant, III.

Mr. LaBruyere, age 69, who was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Opelousas, LA, died suddenly on April 3, 2015.

Louis was a graduate of Jesuit High School in New Orleans, he served his country in the Air National Guard of Louisiana and he completed his accounting degree at Louisiana State University New Orleans. During his career as a CPA, Louis worked for Shell Oil Co., LL&E, Inc., and worked in other various CFO positions. Mr. LaBruyere was a parishioner at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church and he was a member of the Long Branch Hunting Club where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He cherished the time spent with his family and he will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his loving wife, Iris LeBlanc LaBruyere of Opelousas, LA; his sons, Louis LaBruyere, IV and wife, Joana Ortego LaBruyere of Opelousas, LA and Paul Brian LaBruyere and wife, Julie Simon LaBruyere of Lafayette, LA; brother, Donald Edward LaBruyere and wife, Kathy McCann LaBruyere of Metairie, LA; sisters, Loraine "Rainey" LaBruyere Reboul and husband, Anthony Duane Reboul of Birmingham, AL and Barbara LaBruyere Servat and husband, Carl Joseph Servat, Jr. of Metairie, LA; grandchildren, Louis Raymond LaBruyere, V, Reid Anthony LaBruyere, Noah Patrick LaBruyere, Rylee Claire LaBruyere, Chase Joseph Moore and Sarah Michele Moore.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis Raymond LaBruyere, Sr. and Elva Jemison LaBruyere; his sister, Janice Marie LaBruyere.

Pallbearers will be Chase Joseph Moore, Louis Raymond LaBruyere, V, Reid Anthony LaBruyere, Donald Edward LaBruyere, Carl Joseph Servat, III, William Joseph McNamara, III, and Gregory Clark Dickinson.

Visiting will be held at the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas beginning on Monday, April 6, 2015, from 8:00 a.m. until rosary time at 2:00 p.m.
