Louis Dupre, Jr.

Prairie RondeA Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Louis Dupre, Jr, age 59, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 8, 2009, in the Sacred Heart Chapel in Prairie Ronde, followed by interment in the church cemetery. The Reverend Daniel Picard will officiate the services.

Mr. Dupre, a native of Ville Platte and resident of Opelousas, died on Saturday, June 06, 2009 at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Ramona Miller Dupre of Opelousas; mother, Hazel Dupre Ville Platte; two sons, Mitchel Dupre and wife Casey and Michael Dupre, all of Church Point; two step sons Kyle and Damien Prudhomme; a daughter, Nikki Ledoux and husband Jody; step daughter, Paige Prudhomme; a brother, Steve Dupre and wife Theresa; three sisters, Brenda Dupre and friend Tiquia Manuel, Stephanie Chapman and husband Pat, Rose LaFleur and husband Dwain and 14 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Dupre, Sr. and brother, Wayne Dupre.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Sunday, June 7, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. and will re-open at 8:00 a.m. on Monday. A rosary service will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday.
