Lou Ledoux

Opelousas - Lou Anna Joubert Ledoux, age 95 and a resident of Opelousas, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at her residence.

Lou Anna was an avid gardener, specifically flowers and vegetables. She received several garden of the month awards. Lou Anna loved cooking, baking, sewing and collecting antiques. She also enjoyed restoring furniture. Lou Anna had a knack for remembering family and friend's birthdays by sending cards and/or baking them a cake. If she could be described in one word it would be "love". She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Eddie Theogene Ledoux, Jr. and his wife, Beverly of Grand Prairie, Texas; daughters, Faye Ledoux Melancon and her husband, Clyde of Lafayette and Rebecca Ledoux Miller and her husband, Glynn of Ville Platte; brother, Nolton Joubert; sisters, Gladys J. Fontenot and Jessie Rose J. Clark; grandchildren, Bobby Roberie, Jr., Rodney "Joey" Sittig, Jr., Patrick Mark Godeaux and Rhonda Ann Godeaux; 6 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren that she loved as her own, Renee Brown (Kevin), Michael Miller (Tracy), Amy Dufrene (Kevin), Allison Miller (Jennifer), Emily Irwin (Hugh) and Shane M. Godeaux (Sandy); 15 step-great-grandchildren; and 2 step-great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Theogene Ledoux; parents, Jacques Nestor Joubert and Mary Etha Soileau Joubert; brothers, Clarence R. Joubert, Charles Joubert and James N. Joubert; and sister, Helen J. Guillory.
