Opelousas - A Remembrance Service for Loretta Gautreaux Ducharme will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 18, 2021, in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel in the Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, LA.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 18, 2021, in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel in the Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, LA.

Mrs. Ducharme, age 73, was a native of Opelousas, LA.  She passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at Opelousas General Health System.  She worked as a LPN for many years in the medical field. She was a devoted mother, nanny and grandmother.  She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She enjoyed cooking for her family, reading books, and shopping on Amazon.  She was an amazing Nanny to many of her nieces and the Best grandmother to Ella and Renee Wriborg. She was known as "Gramazon" to her granddaughters.

She is survived by two daughters, Sara Kay Wriborg and Jamie Louise Ducharme; brothers, Nolan Joseph Gautreaux, Joseph Merrick Gautreaux, Jr.; and David Paul Gautreaux; sisters: Mary Alice Lavergne and Ollie Faye Soileau; and her twin granddaughters, Ella Wriborg and Renee Wriborg.

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents, Joseph Merrick Gautreaux and Willie Mae Bihm Gautreaux; grandparents, Alida Boudreaux Gautreaux and Lastie Gautreaux; and brother, John Rae Gautreaux.
