Lola Fruge

Morrow, La. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Lola Marie Fruge at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2014, in the St. Peter Catholic Church in Morrow, La. Reverend Mike Guidry will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will be held in the St. Catherine Cemetery in Rosa, La.

Lola, age 75, a resident of Rosa, La., died on Thursday, January 2, 2013, at her sons residence in Lemoyen, La.

She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

Survivors are her sons, Darrell DeBate of Lemoyen, La. Gary DeBate and wife, Elizabeth, of Ponchatoula, La. Dennis DeBate of Meraux, La. Joe Martinez of Marksville, La. her brother, Roland Fruge of Plaucheville, La. and a very special person, who was like a daughter to her, Gail Meche, of LeBeau, La. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 15 greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester Joseph and Mary Bathile Dupre Fruge her brothers, George Fruge, J.L. Fruge and her sisters, Anna Lee Chelette and Rowena Mystric.

Visiting will begin at the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, January 3, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until service time. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
