Lola Dupre

Funeral services for Lola Fontenot Dupre will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 in the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas. Rite of committal will be held in the Bellevue Memorial Park cemetery. The Reverend Gary Schexnayder will conduct the funeral service.

Lola F. Dupre, age 85, who was a native of Church Point, LA and a resident of Opelousas, LA, died on Saturday, July 25, 2015.

Ms. Dupre was an L.P.N. by profession. She worked and retired from Opelousas General Health System after many years of service. She also worked as a private duty nurse for many years. When not on duty, Lola loved to read and she is referred to by her loved ones as the "glue of the family". She absolutely loved her children and adored her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Survivors are her children, Ronald Charles Dupre and wife Terry of Houston, TX, Janice Lynn Dupre Landry and husband Michael of Lafayette, LA and Neal Anthony Dupre and wife Donna Edmond Dupre of Carencro, LA; grandchildren, Carrie Landry, Karen Landry, Mindy Dupre, Scott Landry, Joseph Dupre, Ryan Dupre, Tyler Murphy, Ross Murphy, Conner Murphy, and Seth Dupre; great grandchildren, Dylan Ross, Taylor Ross, Kelsey Petrose, Aubrianne Dupre and Addison Dupre; great-great grandchild, Adeline Ross.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Marie Carriere Fontenot; former husband, A.C. Dupre; daughter, Kristien Ann Dupre Murphy; great granddaughter, Tanner Angelle Landry and eleven brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be Michael Landry, Seth Dupre, Joseph Dupre, Dylan Ross, Stephanie Peters, and David Dupre.

The family request visiting begin on Monday, July 27, 2015 in the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home from 4:00- 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Deacon Sammy Diesi will pray the rosary at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
