Washington-A Mass of Christian Burial for Lois Ortego LeBlanc, age 91, will be held in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 4, 2009, followed by interment in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington, La. Father Albert Nunez will officiate the services.

Mrs. LeBlanc, a resident of Washington, La., passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2009, at 12:01 a.m. at Opelousas General Health System.

Lois was a member of the Altar Society and Rosary Group at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington, La. She was also a member of the Ministry of Praise Group. She graduated from Washington High School where she enjoyed playing basketball. She was a very dedicated sports enthusiast. She became a finalist and gold medal winner in the Senior Olympics. Lois was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law and cook.

Mrs. LeBlanc is survived by her two sons, Charles Ray LeBlanc and wife Agnes of Garland, La.; John Earl LeBlanc and wife Lorraine of Garland, La. and one daughter, Elaine LeBlanc Fontenot. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Phillip LeBlanc and wife Vallie; Brent LeBlanc; Gary LeBlanc; Angela L. Brown and husband Jude all of Garland, La.; Gordon LeBlanc and wife Dawn of Washington, La.; Chris LeBlanc and wife Aimee of Opelousas, La. and Robby Fontenot of Baton Rouge, La. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren: Andrew LeBlanc and wife Amanda; Nicholas Brown; Jenna LeBlanc and Tyler LeBlanc all of Garland, La.; Alex LeBlanc of Opelousas, La.; Emily LeBlanc of Washington, La.; Adam LeBlanc of Opelousas, La.; Anna LeBlanc of Washington, La.; Ryan LeBlanc of Opelousas, La. and one great-great-grandchild, Alexis Basco.

Mrs. LeBlanc was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence LeBlanc; her parents, Loudin and Coralee Ortego; her son-in-law, Robert Fontenot and her great-grandson, Wesley LeBlanc.

Readers will be Aimee LeBlanc and Dawn LeBlanc. Gift Bearers will be Alex, Emily and Adam LeBlanc. Altar Servers will be Jenna LeBlanc and Tyler Brown.

Pallbearers will be Phillip LeBlanc, Brent LeBlanc, Gary LeBlanc, Gordon LeBlanc, Chris LeBlanc, Jude Brown, Andrew LeBlanc and Nicholas Brown.
