Opelousas - A Mass of Christian Burial for Lilly Mae Theriot Savoie will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, in the St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas. Reverend Fr. James "Jim" Brady will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the Myrtle Grove Cemetery in Opelousas.

Lilly, age 94, was a native of Church Point and a longtime resident of Sunset. She passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by two daughters, Delores Savoie and Norma Darby, both of Sunset; sister, Irma Doucet of Baton Rouge; two grandchildren, Mike Darby of Sunset and Brian Darby of Church Point; five great-grandchildren, and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Savoie.

Pallbearers will be Mike Darby, Brian Darby, Phillip Darby, Christopher Darby, Ryan Darby, and Jude Patin.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas beginning at 11:00 a.m. with an all night wake and will continue until 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. A Rosary Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening in the funeral home.
