Opelousas - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Lillian Manuel Guillory at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2016, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of service. A rosary will be prayed at 1:00 p.m. by Deacon Sammy Diesi. The Reverend Monsignor Keith Derouen will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will be held at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Guillory, age 99, a resident of Opelousas, LA, died on Thursday, November 30, 2016, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.

Lillian started a neighborhood Rosary Group over 40 years ago and was made "Queen of Rosary". She was a devout Catholic all of her life. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of St. Landry Catholic Church for many years. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Challon Guillory and wife, Ann, of Baton Rouge, LA; her daughters, Judy Deshotel of Plaquemine, LA; Nancy Bennett of Benton, TN and her sister, Ruth M. Zerangue. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and seventeen great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray B. Guillory; her parents, Avie and Ludie Manuel; her two brothers, Duvie Manuel and Louis Manuel and her sister, Lelma Landreneau.
