Funeral services for Mr. LeRoy H. Richard Sr. will be held on Thursday, August 23rd, 2007 at 10:00AM at St. Landry Catholic Church. The interment will be in St. Landry Cemetery. Msgr. Louis Melancon will conduct the services.

Mr. Richard, age 89, died Monday, August 21, 2007 at his residence in Church Point. He was a veteran of the United States Army during WW11 and was a member of the VFW.

He is survived by his son; LeRoy Richard Jr. and his wife Maria G. Richard of Church Point, a daughter; Catherine Richard Brown and her husband Doyle F. Brown of Carencro, his brother; Homer Richard and his wife Nora Richard of Opelousas, his sister; Mrs. Velma Moity of New Iberia and sister-in-law; Mrs. Jettie M. Richard of Pitreville. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Gregory P. Richard, Steven L. Richard, Allison Richard, Laura Richard Braham and her husband John, Aaron S. Brown, Stuart R. Brown and Bryant Michael Brown and great-grandchildren; Camille and Emilie Richard and Madeleine and John Paul Braham.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lima Richard and his parents Homere Richard and Alice Chachere Richard.

The family has requested that visitation will be observed on Wednesday, August 22nd, from 4:00PM to 10:00PM and will continue on Thursday, August 23, 2007 from 8:00AM until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00PM on Wednesday.
