Leola Thibodeaux

Prairie Ronde A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Leola Briscoe Thibodeaux, at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Prairie Ronde, LA. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Bridget Catholic Church Cemetery in Lawtell, LA. The Reverend Ted Broussard will be the celebrant of the Mass.

Mrs. Thibodeaux, age 94, a lifelong resident of Lawtell and currently lived in Mamou, died at Opelousas General Health System on Monday, April 29, 2013.

Leola loved caring for her grandchildren. She also loved baking and cooking for her family. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughters, Lee Audrey Bergeron of Church Point, LA and Barbara Guilloy and husband, Denny, of Mamou, LA. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 10 greatgrandchildren and 5 greatgreat grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Eurbin Thibodeaux and her parents, Perry and Elena Jagneaux Briscoe.

Visiting hours will begin on Monday, April 29, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will resume on Tuesday morning from 8:00 a.m. until service time. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
