Leo Soileau
Funeral services for Leo Soileau will be on Monday, June 25th, 2007 at 10:00AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington. Interment to take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Fr. Albert Nunez will conduct the services.
Mr. Soileau, age 75, a resident of Washington, died Thursday, June 21, 2007 at 11:30PM at Senior Village Nursing Home.
He was retired from the Baton Rouge Police Department and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict while serving in the U.S. Army. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order Of Police.
Survivors include his wife; Geraldine B. Soileau of Livingston, La., sons; Michael R. Soileau of Livingston, Walter Greg Soileau and his wife Cassandra of Walker, La. and Barry G. Soileau and his wife Grace of Livingston, La., brothers; Gerald Soileau and his wife Patsy of Bossier City, La., Jimmy Soileau and his wife Elaine of Opelousas, La. and B.J. Soileau and his wife Glenda of Port Barre, La., 6 grandchildren; Joshua Paul Soileau and his wife Dori and Joanie Marie Soileau all of Baton Rouge, Miriam, Aaron, Claire and Abigail Soileau of Walker and 1 great grandchild; Maddox Soileau.
Honorary Pallbearers are; Barry Soileau and Joshua Paul Soileau.
The family has requested that donations can be made to; Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 1, P.O. Box 1851 Baton Rouge 70821-1851
Preceding him in death were his parents; Hilray and Alida Soileau.
Visitation will be on Sunday, June 24th, 2007 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM and will continue on Monday from 8:00AM until time of services.
A rosary will be recited on Sunday at 7:00PM.
