Leo Ducote, Sr.

Krotz Springs Funeral services for Leo Paul Ducote, Sr., age 86, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2012, in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home in Krotz Springs. The Reverend Chad Bolfa will conduct the service.

Mr. Ducote, a resident of Krotz Springs, La., died on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the Colonial Nursing Home in Marksville, La.

Leo was a retired carpenter. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his sons, Warren Ducote and wife, Helen, of Simmesport, La. Leo Ducote, Jr. and wife, Barbara of Palmetto, La. Jason Ducote of Mansura, La. his daughters, Beryl Ducote Woodson and husband, Gabby, of Kenner, La. Melanie Ducote Barr and husband, John, of Hamburg, La. Belinda Ducote Synder and husband, Alan, of Krotz Springs, La. Ramona Ducote Rodriguez and husband, Byron, of Krotz Springs, La. Amy Ducote Dibble and husband, Donnie, of Hamburg, La. and his sister, Lilly Whitfield of Metairie, La. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 24 greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Mouton Pennino his second wife, Mandy Kimble Ducote his parents, Ophelia and Odelia Guillory Ducote his son, Gerald Paul Ducote three brothers two sisters and two grandchildren, Jon Wesley Ducote and Geraldlyn Barr.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs, on Thursday, February 23, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
