Lena Brocato

Melville Funeral services will be held for Lena Angona Brocato, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2013, in the First Baptist Church in Melville. Burial will follow in the Melville Methodist Cemetery. Brother Tom Harper will conduct the service.

Lena Angona Brocato, a native of Melville and resident of Prairieville, died on Monday, October 14, 2013 at her daughters house. Mrs. Brocato just celebrated her 88th birthday with a big party with her family on Saturday.

Lena retired as the lunchroom manager of Melville High after 30 years of service. She owned and operated Lenas Snowball Stand in Melville, LA for many years. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

Survivors are her sons, Irving Merse Brocato of Port Barre, LA Anthony Butch Brocato and wife, Carol, of Graham, Washington her daughters, Mrs. Robert Irveene Clark of Nederland, Texas Julia Judy Ann Goudeau and husband, Derrel, of Morrow, LA and Suzanne Sue Miles and husband, Doug, of Prairieville, LA. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 26 greatgrandchildren and 1 greatgreat grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Irving Zorro Brocato her parents, Tony and Rosa Gulino Angona her daughter, Marilyn Rose Toni Brocato her sisters, Katie Graffia, Elizabeth Traina and her brothers, Joseph Angona, Carlo Angona and Victor Angona.

Visiting hours will begin on Saturday, October 19, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m.
