Lawrence Quebedeaux

Funeral services will be held for Lawrence John Quebedeaux at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, in the Skip Montet Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas. The service will be conducted by Reverend Toby Ryder. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Mr. Quebedeaux, age 84, a resident of Opelousas, LA, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018.

Lawrence served his country proudly in the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He was a proud member of the Opelousas VFW Post 2043. Lawrence worked as a truck driver for most of his life. He enjoyed going camping, being outdoors and woodworking. He especially loved traveling the open road and spending time with his family and friends. Lawrence will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him dearly.

Survivors are his children, Pam Vidrine and husband, Blake, of Nuba, LA, Paula Milliken and husband, Jack, of Smyrna, TN; Butch Heflin and wife, Jennifer, of Starkville, MS; Mike Heflin and with Kathy, of Conroe, TX and Rita Lalonde and husband, Perry, of Port Barre, LA and his brother, Charles Quebedeaux and wife, Margaret, of Carencro, LA. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, Matt Heflin, Andi Heflin, Ashley Heflin, Mary Murray, Justin Vidrine, Hunter Vidrine, Caylie Vidrine, Ashley Rouse, Amber Barrow, Kevin Lanclos, Edward Milliken, Jessica Milliken, Jamie Guest, Angela Guest, Darrell Quebedeaux, Crystal Quebedeaux, Tosha Quebedeaux and Jerre Rosenbloom, 25 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Merrett Quebedeaux; his parents, Alcee' Quebedeaux and Helena Myers Quebedeaux; his sons, Darrell Quebedeaux and Eddie Heflin; his brothers, Frances Quebedeaux and Joseph Quebedeaux; his sisters, Rita Snodgrass and Edna Bihm and his grandchildren, Kevin Heflin, Cassie Heflin, Christine Heflin and Heather Rachelle Lanclos.
